If you have a military hero in your life, Sears is giving you a chance to have that hero's life story turned into a song.
Through June 1, veterans, service members, military spouses and family members are invited to submit a photo of their hero and describe, in 1,000 words or less, what makes him or her a star. Entries, which can be https://www.portraitsofheroessongcontest.com/">submitted online, will be judged on the originality of the story, their connection to the "heroes" theme and how much the photo brings the story to life. Sears announced the Portrait of Heroes song contest in connection with its http://www.sears.com/heroesathome">Heroes at Home program, which offers needed home renovations to military families.
The winner will have his or her story turned into a song written and performed by country singer and former Marine Lance Cpl. Josh Gracin, who first appeared on season two of "American Idol."
The prize package also includes a trip for four to Nashville, Tenn., June 24-26 to spend a day with Gracin in the recording studio, and an autographed guitar and CD from Gracin.
