Holiday shoppers buying online from the Navy Exchange will have a series of free- and reduced-shipping deals leading up to Dec. 21, Navy Exchange Service Command announced Tuesday.

From Oct. 31 through Nov. 21, customers at http://www.mynavyexchange.com">www.mynavyexchange.com can get free standard shipping on any toy purchase of at least $150, according to a Navy news release. Purchases of any kind of more than $150 are eligible for free shipping Nov. 22 through Dec. 21, the release said, and beginning Nov. 22, NEX will offer discounted rates for priority and express delivery.

The shipping news came a day after NEX announced it would expand some of its online offerings this month, including clothing and gift items designed to commemorate the carrier Enterprise, now on its final deployment, and the Oct. 31 launch of Toyland, an expanded children's section.

"Toys were one of the top requests from customers and until now, we only offered early learning toys," said Tess Paquette, NEXCOM's senior vice president and chief merchandising officer. "We will now be offering toys for boys and girls for all age ranges, just in time for the holidays."
