SAN DIEGO The Navy says a 25-year-old man found dead in his San Diego apartment was an officer serving on a missile cruiser.

Navy Lt. Rick Chernitzer told">U-T San Diego on Monday that the man, Ensign Jonathan Jake Tenorio of Guam, was a graduate of the Naval Academy in Annapolis.

Police told the newspaper that Tenorio's roommate woke Sunday morning and found him dead. Homicide detectives said they noticed blood when they entered the apartment and said the victim may have been stabbed, but they released no further information.
