SAN DIEGO — A man charged with stabbing to death his brother, a Navy ensign, during a drunken fight in San Diego has pleaded not guilty to murder.
City News Service says 21-year-old Zachary Tenorio of Guam entered the plea Tuesday. He was ordered held on $1.5 million bail and faces 26 years to life in prison if convicted.
Prosecutors claim he stabbed 25-year-old Jonathan Tenorio of Guam in the chest with a kitchen knife on Jan. 27 in the elder brother's apartment.
The ensign was a graduate of the Naval Academy and was assigned to a San Diego-based missile cruiser.
