Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced two three-star nominations made by the president today:
Vice Adm. Mark Fox was nominated for reappointment to the rank of vice admiral, which allows three-star officers to serve longer than 38 years without being promoted. Fox was nominated to serve as the deputy commander for U.S. Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. He is currently serving as the deputy chief of naval operations for operations, plans and strategy in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon, Washington.
Rear Adm. William Brown was nominated for his third star and an assignment as the deputy commander of U.S. Transportation Command at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. He is currently serving as the director for strategy, policy, programs and logistics at U.S. Transportation Command.
