Selection lists containing the names of Army Medical Department and Chaplain corps majors recommended for active-duty promotion to lieutenant colonel will be released April 30.
The lists were compiled by boards that met in January, and require Senate confirmation before the Army can schedule promotions.
The primary zone of consideration for the Chaplain Corps board included majors with dates of rank of Sept. 4, 2006 through Oct. 2, 2007.
The primary-zone window for Nurse Corps and Medical Service Corps majors was Sept. 2, 2006 through Sept. 1, 2007. Medical Specialist Corps majors with dates of rank of Aug. 2, 2006 through Aug. 1, 2007 also received primary-zone consideration.
There will be four Chaplain Corps promotions to lieutenant colonel on May 1, which will reduce the 2012 list to just four names.
The 2012 lists for the AMEDD branches were completed late last year and early this year.
Senate confirmation normally takes several weeks.
