Minot airman dies while deployed to Guam

MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. — An airman from the Minot Air Force Base who was deployed to Guam has died.

Airman First Class Joshua Grier was found unresponsive Saturday at Anderson Air Force Base on Guam. The 20-year-old was transferred to Guam Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 10:30 a.m.

The cause of Grierís death remains under investigation.

Airman Grier is assigned to the 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.

He deployed to Guam in March 2013 to provide support to the U.S. Pacific Commandís continuous bomber presence in the region.
