FALLON, NEV. — A 26-year-old former sailor stationed at Naval Air Station Fallon has been sentenced to up to nearly 20 years in prison for attempted lewdness with a child under the age of 14.

The Lahontan Valley News reported that Michael Henderson was sentenced Tuesday to between seven and 20 years in prison for abusing a girl who was 12 at the time.

Henderson pleaded guilty to the single count of lewdness in April.

Police said the girl had been staying at Hendersonís home for a sleepover with one of his children when the incident occurred last August.

The girl told police he attempted to touch her legs, back and buttocks.
