The United States Coast Guard National Memorial Service was held Saturday at Escanaba Park in Grand Haven, Mich.
According to The Muskegon Chronicle, the memorial service has been an annual event since the cutter Escanaba was lost in battle in 1943. This ceremony marked 70 years since that sinking, the paper reported.
About 200 people attended, according to the Chronicle.
