The Air Force has selected 190 first lieutenants in a variety of career fields for promotion to captain.

In an Oct. 7 release, the Air Force Personnel Center said that 24 first lieutenants from the line of the Air Force Judge Advocate General Corps, 86 from the Nurse Corps, 18 from the Medical Service Corps, 61 from the Biomedical Sciences Corps, and one chaplain were selected for promotion.

All selectees were in the promotion zone, except two Nurse Corps officers who were above the zone. The only eligible first lieutenant who was not selected was an in-the-zone nurse.
