Denny’s restaurants in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., are offering service members and federal civilian employees with valid government ID cards one free entrée with the purchase of another entrée, through Oct. 31.
The “government shutdown” offer is good at all 53 Denny’s restaurants throughout those two states and the District of Columbia, where a large number of federal workers are based.
“We know this is a stressful time for those hardworking Americans affected by the government shutdown,” said Mike Barlow, Denny’s franchise business leader for the region, in announcing the discount.
He said he hopes the promotional offer will “extend just a little relief to those who have served us so honorably over the years.”
