Paratrooper killed, 7 injured in Fort Bragg training exercise

A paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division has been killed in a training accident at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

A statement from the division says two other paratroopers were seriously hurt, while five paratroopers were treated for minor injuries and released from Womack Army Medical Center. The accident occurred Friday morning.

No further details were available.

The statement says the identities of the paratroopers will be released after next of kin is notified.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
