Officer education board results due out soon

Results of the Intermediate Level Education board that met in conjunction with the fiscal 2014 Army Competitive Category major promotion selection board will be released May 13.

Officers slated for ILE were selected for promotion by the O-4 board, and will attend the 10-month resident or 14-week satellite ILE courses at the Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kan., and other locations beginning in January 2015.

Officers who were not selected to attend resident or satellite courses will be enrolled in the ILE distributed learning course.

Captains passed over for promotion were not eligible to be considered for the ILE course.

The ILE list will contain the names of principal selectees and revalidated officers in alphabetical order by functional category. Officers who decline attendance will forfeit their eligibility for ILE attendance at any venue in the future.

Deferment requests must be signed by the first general officer in an officer’s chain of command, and ultimately approved by the vice chief of staff of the Army.
