VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The Navy has suspended the use of its BDU-48 training bomb while it investigates how one accidentally dropped from a fighter jet on Tuesday.

Atlantic Fleet Naval Air Force spokesman Mike Moss says training will continue as scheduled, just without use of the devices.

The 10-pound, inert training bomb fell from an F/A-18C Hornet and hit a warehouse as the aircraft was approaching Oceana Naval Air Station. It was returning from a training mission at the Navy’s bombing range in Dare County, N.C.
