Active E-8 opportunity up slightly

The Navy will advance 1,445 of 13,910 eligible active-duty chief petty officers to senior chief.

The overall chance to advance to senior chief grew from 10.14 percent last year to a 10.39 percent shot today, with 88 more quotas for sailors looking to add a star to their anchors.
