NORFOLK, Va. — Jury deliberations are under way in Norfolk in the federal trial of two men charged in the death of a sailor in a murder-for-hire plot.

Jurors began deliberations Thursday in the trial of David Runyan of Morgantown, W.Va., and Michael Draven of Newport News.

Both Runyan and Draven are charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder for hire, carjacking and robbery.

Prosecutors say Draven and Catherina Voss of Newport News hired Runyon to kill Voss' husband, 30-year-old Navy ensign Cory Voss. Voss was shot while sitting in his pickup outside an ATM in Newport News in 2007.

Runyan is accused of being the triggerman and could face the federal death penalty if convicted.
