NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — A Veterans Affairs clinic in South Carolina is offering two days of medical and dental screenings for the homeless and others in need.
The clinics at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Armory Park in North Charleston.
VA officials say the events are being held in cooperation with Goodwill Industries.
Clothing, food, haircuts, job and legal counseling also will be available.
The event is open to anyone in need in the community.
VA officials say hundreds of participants are expected to attend. Last year, the event served just over 1,900 people.
