Navy Secretary Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead announced four flag assignments Tuesday.
• Rear Adm. Terry Kraft will be commander, Carrier Strike Group 12, Norfolk, Va. Kraft was previously announced as commander, Carrier Strike Group 10. Kraft is director, ISR Capabilities, N2/N6F2, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations.
These captains have been selected for promotion to O-7:
• Capt. John Aquilino will be director, strategy and analysis, J5, U.S. Joint Forces Command, Norfolk. Aquilino is executive assistant to the commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk.
• Capt. Thomas Bond Jr. will be director, CJ6, U.S. Forces-Iraq. Bond is on the Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group, Newport, R.I.
• Capt. Brian Laroche will be deputy commander, Military Sealift Command, Washington. Laroche is commanding officer, Navy Reserve U.S. European Command Detachment 0193, Fort Dix, N.J.
