Special warfare CPO dies from combat injuries

A chief with Naval Special Warfare Command died from his combat injuries March 13 in Landstuhl, Germany, the Defense Department reported.

Chief Cryptologic Technician (SW) Christian Michael Pike, 31, of Peoria, Ariz., was injured March 10 while conducting stability operations in Maiwand District, Afghanistan. Pike enlisted in August 2001 and was assigned to Naval Special Warfare Support Activity 1.
