One of this year's most talked about spirit spots stars Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jon Greenert, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy Mike Stevens and a cameo from Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey.

Greenert stopped by the press box at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland, today, just hours before the Army Navy game, to shed some light on the origin of "Hashtag Go Navy."

It was two chiefs, both mass communication specalists and "masters at ideas," who came up with the idea to parody the Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon hashtag sketch, Greenert said.

"I like the humor piece, and the whole idea is getting people going up, and at the same time they get spirited," he told Military Times.

They needed an actor for the final moments of the video.

"Who better than someone right in the middle of it all?" Greenert said. "Dempsey's great for all that kind of stuff, and it's perfect for him – 'One team one fight.'"

They took a couple takes and recorded 20 minutes of footage, ultimately edited down to a mere 50 seconds.

We'd love to see the gag reel.
