CONCORD, N.H. — Gov. Maggie Hassan has directed flags to fly at half-staff in New Hampshire in honor of Navy SEAL William "Blake" Marston of Concord, who died in a military parachute training exercise in Florida last week.

Flags are flying at half-staff Saturday, the day a celebration of the 31-year-old Marston's life was scheduled at the Bedford Presbyterian Church.

Hassan said Marston's unyielding commitment to serving his fellow citizens, his state and his country demonstrated the very best of the strength and resilience that define the Granite State.
