Sailors stationed overseas will soon see copies of Military Times newspapers for sale in Navy exchanges again.

In June, the company that had shipped the newspapers to Navy and Marine Corps bases overseas went out of business. The Army and Air Force Exchange Service use a different distributor, so its outlets were not affected.

Now that the Navy has selected a new distributor, 1,055 copies of the Military Times newspapers will be shipped to Navy exchange stores in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Cuba starting the week of Aug. 10, said Edgar Carpenter IV, director of audience development for Military Times.

"We are excited that an agreement has been reached," Carpenter said. "We are especially happy for our sailors overseas who will once again have access to Navy Times print edition."

The Marine Corps is expected to select its new distributor soon, Carpenter said. Domestic sales of Military Times have not been interrupted.
