Last week we got to spend some time on the much-anticipated 2018 Harley-Davidson Softail line. In their own words, this is one of the largest undertakings in Harley-Davidson history, and it certainly wasn't for nothing. The new chassis are lighter and stiffer, and the Milwaukee Eight out performs the Twin Cam in every way.

During the course of over 300 miles and two days, we put the eight new models to the test through tight twisties, high-speed sweepers and good old-fashioned highway cruising. Of course, some models performed better than others ... some performances were expected, and some were big surprises.

Our camera team was waiting at the end of our 200-mile road as we finished the second day of riding, so excuse my soot-covered face but these are my unabashed and unrehearsed first impressions on the new models. Stay tuned for a more in-depth overview.
