Bell Helicopter is nearing first flight for the V-280 Valor, its newest tiltrotor helicopter. Bell is developing the Valor as part of the Army's program to develop a future medium-lift helicopter to replace its fleet of Black Hawks. Bell is building and testing the Valor at its Amarillo, Texas, production facility.
The attack drone was headed toward the Mason and was shot down in self defense, but officials said they were not sure if the U.S. warship was the target.
