A sailor aboard the Norfolk-based carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower and another at North Carolina’s Camp Lejeune face serious sex crime charges.

While assigned to the carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower on July 14, 2017, Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Airman Jonathan Edward Al Carriker allegedly assaulted a fellow sailor who was asleep on Naval Station Norfolk, according to charge sheets released by the military to Navy Times.

Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Cristopher M. Neibert of Camp Lejuene’s Naval Medical Center allegedly put his fingers inside a woman’s genitals without her consent on Sept. 10, 2016.

Both sailors have been ordered to stand trial by court-martial in Norfolk. Both sailors and their commands declined comment to the Navy Times.

Neibert was arraigned Monday in Norfolk and Al Carriker is slated to be arraigned on Wednesday, according to the Navy court docket.

Originally from Alaska, Al Carriker enlisted in the Navy in early 2017. He allegedly committed the crime only 35 days after reporting for duty aboard the Eisenhower.

Neibert, of Colorado, enlisted in the Navy in mid-2009 and reported to Camp Lejuene four years later.
