A U.S. Navy helicopter crashed into a Southern California bay during a training exercise Thursday night. All six crew members survived.
The Navy helicopter had been attempting to recover a civilian hiker with a broken ankle in California on Sept. 30 when it experienced a hard landing.
The hangar was one of two built in 1942 for the U.S. Navy in the city of Tustin, about 35 miles southeast of Los Angeles.
