4 months ago Top military engineers met with lawmakers this week to discuss cost-efficient methods for supporting future military construction. The 12th Littoral Combat Team will receive the Navy/Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System, or NMESIS, in fiscal 2026. The captain bravely ushered about two dozen Marines to safety from the burning aircraft. The military’s housing stipend, known as the Basic Allowance for Housing, increased by an average of 5.4% per person in January 2025. The president said the new effort will focus on ways to "resurrect the American shipbuilding industry." A museum honoring Medal of Honor recipients is set to open later this month, but the project is already dogged amid an apparent snub to one airman. By Hope Hodge Seck
