3 weeks ago A new Navy plan seeks to improve flexibility of forces worldwide, while allowing aircraft carriers to remain deployed for longer periods of time. Both pilots will report to Marine Attack Squadron 223, also known as “the Bulldogs.” Indo-Pacific Command says it faces an $11 billion funding gap for regional military construction, space programs, munitions and Guam missile defenses. At least three carrier strike groups have Project Overmatch capabilities aboard, a U.S. Navy spokesperson told C4ISRNET. Car-like carriages weighing up to 80,000 pounds are being launched off the carrier to test its jet catapult system. The Navy is testing out a program to embark therapy dogs aboard aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships.
