Navy Lt. Amanda Lee, the No. 3 left wing pilot for the Blue Angels, is the first woman to fly fighter jets with the renowned flight demonstration team.
The prototype aims to strengthen flight training for student pilots while reducing the time it takes by combining traditional classroom instruction and flying time in the T-6B Texan II with virtual and mixed-reality trainers, artificial intelligence, tablets and aviation apps.
The U.S. Air Force is expected to announce Huntsville, Alabama, as the location for the U.S. Space Command headquarters, according to Alabama’s governor.
The Blue Angels will fly their legacy Hornets for the last time over the Pensacola area Wednesday. The team will be switching to Super Hornets in the 2021 season.
