The Minnesota-based 3M Company allegedly sold their dual-ended Combat Arms Earplugs, Version 2, to the military without disclosing defects that decreased the actual effectiveness of the hearing protection the device offered.
The Navy claims it is making progress in the battle against oxygen loss and other physiological episodes that threaten pilots, but critics say their effort has disappointed.
