Officials at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, are investigating the death of a 38-year-old reservist sailor who diedpassed away Tuesday.

Air Traffic Controller 2nd Class Andrew Clement died "of a non-combat related injury," according to a Wednesday Defense Department release.

Clement was a mobilized reservist with Tactical Air Control Squadron 22 out of Navy Operational Support Center, Quincy, Massachusetts, the release said. Clement died supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

A Navy spokesman declined to provide further details on the circumstances surrounding Clement's death, citing an ongoing investigation.

Camp Lemonnier is a Navy expeditionary base that is the primary support hub for the war on terror in the Horn of Africa.
