The Navy has identified a sailor found dead in his barracks at Training Support Center Great Lakes in Illinois.

The body of Fire Controlman Seaman Recruit Joshua F. Edge, 24, was discovered around 6 a.m. Monday, according to command spokesman Matt Mogle.

Foul play is not suspected in Edge’s death, according to Naval Criminal Investigative Service spokesman Ed Buice.

He said the investigation will continue.

Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Edge enlisted in August 2017 and reported to Great Lakes’ Center for Surface Combat Systems in October 2017, according to Navy records.
