The Navy has released the names of the 1,653 chief petty officers who will add a senior chief’s star above their chief’s crows and anchors.

It was another good year for CPOs looking to advance, with 13 percent making the cut. That’s the third best rate over the past two decades, although it dropped slightly from last year’s 14 percent advancement rate.

Over the past decade, only about 11 percent of chiefs make the leap to E-8, the lowest advancement rate in the enlisted workforce.

This year the Navy selected 1,653 senior chiefs from a pool of 12,764 eligible sailors.

Congratulations to all who advanced!
