This past month the USS Chafee refueled the Unmanned Surface Vessel Seahawk, Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel, according to Navy photos released on Monday.
USS Benfold endured an "engineering casualty" last month, leaving about 300 sailors without potable water, galley services, toilets or air conditioning.
The ship is named in honor of veteran Aviation Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class George M. Neal, who was awarded the Navy Cross for actions during the Korean War.
