South Korea's Defense Ministry says the B-52 bombers took part in aerial drills with other U.S. and South Korean fighter jets Friday over the peninsula.
The US flew nuclear-capable B-52 bombers to the Korean Peninsula again in a show of strength amid concerns that North Korea might conduct a nuclear test.
The airplane would be built from a stretched version of the C-130J and allow the president to communicate with nuclear-armed submarines in case of war.
