Navy officials announced the reserve full-time support and selected reserve senior chief and master chief selections in Navy administrative message 092/17 signed out by Vice Adm. Robert Burke, chief of naval personnel.

The combined selection board convened on March 9 to select 209 drilling reservists to move up, 45 to E-9 and 164 to E-8.

In the reserve full-time support ranks, a total of 83 will move up, 16 to E-9 and 67 to E-8. Full-time support sailors are a separate component of about 8,500 full-time sailors who belong to the selected (drilling) reserve.

Commands are allowed to frock their selectees provided they meet all other requirements for advancement. Sailors will start being paid for their new rates incrementally throughout the year.

Congratulations to all selectees.
