The U.S. Coast Guard says it rescued a 64-year-old man whose sailboat became disabled and who spent three days stranded on an island in the Bahamas.
The U.S. Coast Guard cutter Stratton conducted a “routine Taiwan Strait transit” on June 20, according to the Navy.
The Coast Guard Cutter Kimball will continue to monitor the area.
