BILOXI, Miss. — The Navy says a sailor has been shot and killed in southern Mississippi.
News outlets reported the shooting happened early Saturday morning at military housing belonging to Keesler Air Force Base.
Spokesman Brian Lamar said the dead sailor was assigned to the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport.

The victim’s name has not been released.
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service is handling the investigation. No other details were immediately available.
