The new survey from RAND suggests that positive views of veterans are enough to boost military recruitment. The organization has grown nationwide and held more than 600 ceremonies in 31 states. Service officials said one of their biggest obstacles is explaining the basics of military service to teenagers who rarely interact with veterans. At the same time, one-third of respondents said they would discourage military service. 'Get your ass into your Marine recruiter right now.' The Navy kept more than 110% of sailors with up to 14 years of service in Fiscal Year 2023, which ended Sept. 30.
